If we do the math and multiply the 1 billion litres by N350, which is the rate of subsidy payment per liter of fuel given out by the Nigerian government, we come to a staggering amount of N350 billion. This is the amount that would have gone into the pockets of economic scammers and corrupt officials, draining our country of much-needed resources. However, thanks to the bold decision of President Tinubu to take the bull by the horn and confront this issue head-on, these funds are now being put to better use for the benefit of all Nigerians.
It is no secret that corruption has been a significant issue in our country, with many leaders turning a blind eye to the pilfering of public funds for their own gain. President Tinubu, however, has shown that he is not like all other presidents before him. He is willing to make the tough decisions that are necessary to root out corruption and put an end to the looting of our national resources.
